Silver Braces

Silver braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, silver braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. The wire is secured to the braces with very small latex free bands; we call them o-ties. You may choose to match the silver or go for a more unique and colorful smile.

Gold Braces

Gold braces are similar to silver braces in many ways. They are made of stainless steel but are uniquely coated in gold. The gold coating may be considered a more cosmetic option than traditional silver braces, and the cost of gold braces is the same as silver braces. A wire is secured to the braces with very small latex free bands; we call them o-ties. You may choose to match the gold or go for a more unique and colorful smile.

Invisible (Clear) Orthodontic Appliances

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic  braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, clear braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns.  A wire is secured to the braces with very small latex free bands; we call them o-ties. You may choose clear o-ties or go for a more unique and colorful smile. While clear braces are visually less prominent, they do require a bit more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are slightly larger than their metal counterparts.

Invisalign® and Invisalign Teen®

Invisalign® uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you are wearing Invisalign because it’s invisible! Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and contain no metal or latex. Please visit our Invisalign page to learn more.

What is Orthodontic Treatment

Having a healthy and beautiful smile can boost self-esteem, confidence, and professionalism in your life.  Braces have been the #1 solution for correcting straight teeth and bites.  Your new smile will greatly improve the way you look and feel!

Once treatment is complete, you will have the smile you’ve always dreamed about.  Your confidence will flourish and you will feel comfortable in any environment.  Brieden and Miller Orthodontics is dedicated to perfecting your smile to improve your overall well-being.

How Orthodontic Treatment Works

Orthodontic services can take many different forms including metal, ceramic, or plastic appliances.  These appliances can be removable, bonded, clear, or colorful.  Orthodontic treatment uses consistent gentle forces that act upon your teeth to move it in a carefully controlled direction.  With advancements in technology, there are a variety of different treatment options.  In your initial exam, Dr. Brieden or Dr. Miller will help decide on a treatment plan that works best for you!

Duration of Treatment

Treatment time can vary anywhere from 1-3 years depending upon several different factors including age, treatment plan, and severity of case.  Being proactive and getting routine checkups will help ensure you’re on the fastest track toward getting the perfect smile.  If you’re seeking treatment for your child, it’s never too early or too late to get an initial exam and start your treatment plan.

Treatment Plan

Before any orthodontic treatment can begin, its essential to create a long-term plan.  In your initial exam, your orthodontist will discuss all the available treatment options with you, provide an estimated duration of treatment, pricing, and payment options.  Your orthodontist will be happy to answer any of your questions or concerns.
